Privacy policy

Who is responsible
Data controller: Halcer d.o.o., Dunajska cesta 63, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. Contact for privacy requests: use the address above by post until an email contact is published here.
What we store and why
- Newsletter signup: your email address, stored when you submit the form with the consent box ticked. Legal basis: consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). Used only to send the newsletter once it launches. Kept until you withdraw consent or the newsletter project is dropped.
- Stars (My Activity): a random token generated in your browser, plus the id, title and links of items you star. The token is not linked to your name, email or account; we could not identify you from it. Stored in your browser and mirrored to our server queue. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running the requested feature (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to serve and protect the site. See Cloudflare's own privacy documentation.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets no analytics cookies unless you press "Accept analytics" in the consent banner. Your choice (accept or decline) is stored in your browser's localStorage. If you accept, the following processors may set cookies once analytics is switched on:
| Processor | Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ireland Ltd. | Google Analytics 4 | usage statistics |
| Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. | Microsoft Clarity | usage statistics, session replay |
To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will ask again.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Write to the controller address above. You can also complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblascenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana).
What we do not do
We do not sell data, run ads at this time, or combine your stars with any identity data. News content links to third-party sites that have their own policies.
